Intelink Access Statistics

Updated: 27 April 1998

Notice

This report only covers those servers registered with the ISMC and located in the Directory of Intelink Servers. Although the figures specified in this report do not cover all Intelink servers, the Text Directory does cover the primary producers of material on Intelink. The figures listed below reflect USERS accesses only. Accesses to the servers from various search engines and webwalkers have been excluded.

Wusage 5.0

A statistics package, Wusage version 5.0, is available for Intelink-wide download. Wusage is licensed for all network accessable Intelink sites and is required for all Intelink Servers to be listed at the ISMC (see Intelink Baseline Standards). Administrators who wish to run this software for their internal servers (not accessable from the global network) should make their own licensing arrangements. The package is available as a pre-compiled binary (executable) file for multiple platforms, usually with a simple auto-configuration script which creates a default text configuration file. To get a feel for how the new statistics reports look, see janes.ic.gov Weekly Server Statistics.

The IMO has declared that Wusage 5.0 is required for Intelink servers. See the June 22 View from the Summit for details.

Ports are currently available for Solaris 2.4, SunOS 4.1.x, DigitalUnix 3.2, AIX, HP/UX, and Windows NT. Send e-mail to wusage@ismc.ic.gov with requests for other pre-compiled ports.
